The impressive career of Johan Cruyff has been reproduced into official Mini Cruyff’s. A collection of clubs where Johan Cruyff showed his exceptional football qualities. Each Mini Cruyff is fully custom hand painted in the Netherlands and is presented in a luxurious shell.
Cruyff filled for bankruptcy, after being misled by a conman. This forced him to postpone his retirement and headed to the North American Soccer League (NASL). At age 34, he still had the strength and mastership to mesmerize the crowds. This American adventure led him to winning two national championships and being celebrated as two-times player of the year.
He had previously been rumoured to be joining the New York Cosmos but the deal did not materialise; he played a few exhibition games for the Cosmos. The Cosmos started courting Cruyff in 1977, about the same time Pele gave New York fans a tearful farewell in his last (and final) retirement game. After making his American debut with the Cosmos a year later in an exhibition against the World All-Stars, Cruyff signed documents stating that if he played in the NASL, it would be in New York.
